Groups & many expenses

One dinner is easy. A weekend away is dozens of expenses across several people. Groups keep them together and give you one running balance.

Create a group

  1. 1

    New group

Give it a name (“Lisbon trip”), an emoji or a photo, and a default currency.
  2. 2

    Add members

Pull in friends by name or email, or sync from your contacts. Everyone you add can see and post the group’s expenses.
  3. 3

    Log expenses to the group

When adding an expense, pick the group. New expenses default to the group’s members and currency, so you’re not re-selecting people every time.

Different payers, different splits — no problem

Aisha books the Airbnb, you cover the rental car, Diego grabs groceries. Each expense records its own payer and split. PaySlice nets them all into one number per person.

Reading the running balance

Open the group and PaySlice shows each member with a single figure: green if they’re owed, red if they owe. Because balances are computed live from every expense, adding, editing, or deleting one updates the totals immediately for everyone.

Per-friend view

Tap any friend to see just the expenses you two share — inside groups and one-off — plus the exact balance between you. This is where you’ll head when it’s time to settle up.

💡Activity feed keeps everyone honest

Every create, edit, delete, and settlement is written to a shared activity feed. Nobody has to wonder what changed — it’s all timestamped and attributed.
